The purpose of the Enriched Air Diver specialty course is to familiarize you with the procedures, safety protocols, hazards, risks, benefits and theory of no decompression diving with oxygen enriched air containing 22% to 40% oxygen. Diving enriched air benefits the diver in several ways. Your body absorbs less nitrogen when diving nitrox therefore allowing for longer bottom times and reducing the risk of decompression sickness. The nitrox course is not designed for dives below 110 feet.
Open water dives are not required to complete this course. The course consists of classroom and book work only.
